The Complete Physique Blueprint
From Skinny to Aesthetic — The V-Taper Blueprint
If your goal is to build a physique you can be proud of — not jacked, but aesthetic — this is the guide for you.
It means training to LOOK GOOD. To become more attractive and enhance your physical appearance — not only for yourself, but for the people around you. Aesthetic training is about sculpting a physique that turns heads, not just moving the most weight.
The aesthetic look is defined by one thing above all else: the V-Taper. Wide shoulders, a powerful upper chest, a tight waist, flared lats — this silhouette is what separates an aesthetic physique from just being "big."
These muscle groups create the V-taper silhouette — the foundation of the aesthetic physique.
Look good. Feel powerful. Become undeniable.
When it comes to nutrition, less is more. Avoid all the processed bullshit normalised in modern society — keep it natural. If you look at the ingredients label and you don't know what you're reading, it shouldn't be going in your body.
Our bodies need protein to complete Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS) — the process our bodies go through to build and repair muscle tissue. Without adequate protein, muscles simply won't have what they need to maximise growth and recovery.
Carbs are the body's primary energy source. Consume them to fuel workouts and replenish glycogen stores post-session. Fast-digesting carbs: fruits, honey, and rice. Time them around training for maximum effect.
Fats are NOT the enemy. Saturated and monounsaturated fats are needed to optimise hormonal health — including testosterone — which directly drives muscle growth. They're also crucial for absorbing micronutrients.
The Fat-Testosterone-Gains Loop: More healthy fats → optimised testosterone → more MPS → more gains. It's that simple. Don't fear dietary fat.
Here's the truth most people get wrong — your muscles do not grow in the gym. The gym is where you stimulate them. You create the signal. Real growth happens outside the gym, when you recover — and nowhere is this more important than when you sleep.
During deep sleep, your body releases the majority of its daily Growth Hormone (GH). This is the hormone responsible for repairing muscle tissue, burning fat, and driving the physical adaptations from your training. Skip sleep, and you are literally robbing yourself of growth. You trained hard — let your body finish the job.

Steps Per Day
Sleep is non-negotiable. Aim for 8 hours minimum — 9 to 10 is ideal on hard training days. The deeper your sleep, the more Growth Hormone is released, and the more muscle you build from the work you already put in. No supplement, no protein shake, and no training programme can compensate for consistently poor sleep. It is the most underrated tool in your arsenal.
Stay hydrated throughout the day. Dehydration impairs muscle function, cognitive performance, and nutrient transport — all of which directly affect how well you recover and perform in the gym.
Before Bed — Magnesium Glycinate: Take 300–400mg of magnesium glycinate 30–60 minutes before sleep. Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic processes in the body including muscle relaxation, protein synthesis, and the regulation of cortisol. Most people are deficient. The glycinate form is the most bioavailable and won't upset your stomach. It improves sleep quality, reduces muscle cramping, and directly supports overnight recovery and Growth Hormone release.
Treat the gym like a video game. Every session, you have a high score — and your goal is to beat it. More reps than last time. Heavier weight. Better form. Every time you hit a new personal best, you've unlocked a new level. This is Progressive Overload — and it's what drives growth.
If you aren't giving your muscles a reason to grow, they won't. Train to failure. Push past comfortable. Remember: hypertrophy is a byproduct of strength — get stronger, build more muscle.
Hit every muscle group twice a week — including legs. Frequency is what drives growth. One session per muscle is leaving gains on the table.
Every set taken to failure. Not just hard — to the point where another rep with good form is impossible. This is what forces the muscle to adapt.
Stay in this window. If you hit 12 reps and still have gas in the tank, that's your signal — add weight next session. The load should be challenging from rep one.
Control the lowering phase of every rep. The eccentric is where the majority of muscle damage — and therefore growth stimulus — occurs. Don't drop the weight. Own the negative.
Explode up. Control down. The concentric gets the weight moving — the eccentric is where the muscle is built.
Every exercise below is selected to target the key aesthetic muscle groups — the ones that build the V-taper and create the look you're after. Prioritise these movements in your programming.
Showing up anyway, despite what your mind and your feelings may be telling you — this is what truly separates you from achieving your dream physique from staying average. Everyone wants the body. Not everyone is willing to do the work when it's inconvenient.
The gap between the physique you have and the physique you want is filled with the sessions you skipped, the meals you didn't track, and the sleep you cut short. Close the gap. Show up anyway.
You don't find motivation. You build discipline.
The extras that take a good physique to a great one. These aren't shortcuts — they're force multipliers on top of your foundation.
The Compound Effect
Train hard + eat clean + sleep deep + dress well + groom properly. None of these alone make you aesthetic. All of them together? Undeniable.
